4 Virtual Event Ideas To Try This Summer

Spread the love

Just because we have a vaccine for COVID-19 doesn’t mean everyone is returning to in-person events. Virtual events are, in fact, here to stay. Why? Because they help companies save money on the operations and event planning of an in-person event. Virtual events are also easier to schedule, and more people can attend these events no matter where they are in the world.

If you’re running out of ideas for your virtual gatherings this summer, look no further. Here are 4 virtual event ideas for you to try this summer.

1. Hire a Virtual Magician to do a magic show online

Magicians were the first group of entertainers to go virtual when the pandemic first hit. Not only are they good at what they do, but they also mastered the magic behind virtual platforms like Zoom to make business events more engaging and interactive. A virtual magician is a perfect candidate to host any virtual event because they can navigate through online platforms while providing mind-bending entertainment.

If you’re looking to add some virtual magic to your next online event, you should check out Harrison Kramer for birthday parties and corporate events. He’s also an excellent virtual host that can help you navigate through Zoom. His shows typically range from 15 to 120 minutes and can bring people together from all parts of the world.

You can also get a sneak peak of Harrison’s Zoom Magic shows on Youtube.

2. A game of two truths and one lie

It’s a game of memory, so pay attention! It’s ideal to pay attention to your coworkers’ body language and to focus on what everyone else says, so you can get the correct amount of guesses. This game is perfect for any virtual crowd

How do you play two truths and one lie?

Everyone tells three statements about themselves: two truths and one that is false. Each player gets a chance to guess which statements are true and false. The person who has the most correct guesses wins the game.

3. Virtual Werewolf Event

Normally, each player draws a card that indicates a role in an in-person setting. However, this game can also be played virtually too! There is a werewolf, villagers, healers, or seers.

In a virtual setting, you can have a moderator or host send each attendee their role in a private chat message. Werewolves are the ones that eat the other players. Villagers are the ones who will vote on who they think is a werewolf. Healers can save a player from being eaten by a werewolf, and seers can reveal who is a wolf or not.

The moderator or game host will start the game by telling everyone to close their eyes. The gamemaster will then tell the wolves to wake up and decide who they want to eat. It’s a game of manipulation and understanding body language. It’s honestly an intense game that can get pretty heated when it comes to voting and finding out who the wolf is.

4. Do a show and tell event

This is an easy filler event. All you have to do is give at least 1-2 minutes per person to share something they want to share. It’s a perfect family or team-building exercise. Whether you have loved ones or colleagues in another state or country, everyone can benefit by learning something new about one another.

Virtual Events Are The Best Form Of Entertainment

Whether you’re using Blue Jeans, Microsoft Teams, Zoom,  WebEx, or any other online platform, the capabilities of what you can do virtually are endless. Virtual events will still be the norm even after COVID-19 ends. Companies already have seen the benefits financially and logistically. Managers also see the opportunity for virtual meetings to build the bridge between employees to management and businesses to clients.
