When we first saw the big hatchback car stalled at a classy showroom of a famous Kia dealer near Tomball, we felt an instant urge to test drive the model, as we were anyway hopping dealership showrooms to find an ideal family car this season. Stepping in the showroom floor we got to know that the model we were drawn to for its unique stance caged in a shapely body was the 2020 Kia Stinger. There wasn’t any solid reason to delay our test drive, and hence we got in within few minutes, as the cordial staff of the dealership were more than happy to lead us the way.
Seeing it from a closer range doubled up our excitement, as we turned the key to get in, the door opened up to a sprawling interior space. The layout made us think that the space is almost double than what the similarly-sized performance sedans offer. By folding down the rear seats the 2020 Kia Stinger can swallow as much of luggage as many SUVs can. From there it was all a breeze driving the 2020 Kia Stinger that proved its worth with its performance credentials that were impressive enough to share.
Driving a 2020 Kia Stinger will make everyone feel, that the new sedan edition from Kia is not meant to be in the rat race to prove its mettle. Rather it is designed to beat them all by playing the game on its own terms.

This year, Kia has lined up the Stinger in four trim flavors, among which three trims named as GT, GT1, and GT2 are given the same 365-horsepower making 3.3-liter twin-turbo V-6 engine which has been popular in its segment through these years. The exempted model from this engine power is the Base model named as the GT-Line that carries in its hood a turbo-4 engine this year.
While the entry-level engine is powerful enough to deliver 255 horsepower with either rear or all-wheel drive configuration, the V6 models get a higher horsepower count of 365 earned from the twin-turbo capacitive engine. Needless to say, that it will have more capacity up on its sleeve but that the engine makes the 2020 Kia Stinger models worthwhile needs a mention here as it could sprint a speed of 60 mph from a dead 0 in about 4.7 seconds.
However all the trim models of the 2020 Kia Stinger are given a smooth-shifting 8-speed automatic transmission to pair with the respective engines that allows manual power control with their paddle shifting feature.
