Create a Night Beauty Regime
Within your nightly routine you should incorporate the following:
Using a gentle cleanser – use the cleanser to wash away all the dirt and makeup from the day.
Shower – Nothing can relax a body more than washing the day away. Not only does this calm the body down but it feels so darn good!
Night cream – After washing your face, applying a moisturizer to prevent your skin from drying out is crucial. It’s best to use a cream not only that is made for night use but also a cream that has been designated and designed for your skin type. Example. if wrinkles are a cause for concern, apply an anti-wrinkle cream.
Moisturize everywhere – This should happen multiple times a day, if possible but especially at night should you be slathering your hands, feet, and body in lotion. If you can, opt for body butter and sleep with socks and mittens to lock in moisture. Your body will thank you in the morning.
Brush your teeth – This should go without saying but always take care of your teeth. So, that includes not only brushing but also flossing and using mouthwash regularly. Be sure to keep up your teeth care routine not only in the morning but also at night as this will allow you to avoid bad breath and have good oral hygiene.
Put your hair up in a loose bun – If you weren’t aware, you’re tossing and turning through the night can lead to damaged hair. To avoid such damage, opt to put your hair up in a loose bun or braid before hopping into bed.
Leave-in treatment – If you can, every now and then incorporate an overnight leave-in treatment for your hair. Doing so will allow for extra nutrients to be soaked up by your strands, resulting in a glossy and beautiful finish.
Elements to incorporate to your daily routine
Drink tons of water – Not only is it great for your hair but it’s great for your nails as well as your skin. Water can also prevent breakouts, give you a natural glow and help speed up your metabolism and help you lose weight!
Avoid junk food/drinks – Do your body a favor and avoid anything that can cause breakouts…so ditch anything oily, fatty, and sugary.
Light dinners – Keep dinners as light as possible and try your best to avoid salty foods as well as alcohol, as they can make you feel super bloated.
Workout – Working out can really do wonders for the body, it’s a great way to de-stress, with that allow yourself to take at least 35 minutes to an hour a couple of times a week to get some type of activity in.
Bedtime necessities
Invest in the right bedsheets – If you can invest in softer pillows, invest in bamboo lyocell sheets from Ettitude as they provide the perfect balance of soft, breathable, and sustainability.
Sleep on your back – Sleeping on your side or stomach can actually cause wrinkles. With that, as you age, the collagen in your face weakens. Lessen the likelihood of wrinkles and sleep on your back.
Sleep more! – If you can, try to get at least eight hours of sleep every night. Your body needs rest as this is the time your body is actually going into repair mode. What that essentially means is that new cells are being formed. With that, make sure to get sufficient amount of sleep, not too much and not too little. Anywhere from 7-9 hours a night is adequate.
